I completed my BA in Psychology and Philosophy at UC Berkeley and my PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Iowa. My graduate research focused on the benefits of friendships and other supportive relationships in the lives of under-resourced children. I have worked in a variety of settings including community mental health clinics and VA medical centers. I am often touched by the threads of human experience that many of us share in common.
In my professional and personal life I especially enjoy opportunities to connect with neurodivergent individuals. I am a theatre and stand-up comedy fan, Halloween enthusiast, and former Disneyland employee. During the pandemic I rediscovered my childhood love of bugs. I enjoy needle crafting fuzzy sci-fi creatures and spending time with my husband, daughter, and puppy Arya.
