My Approach
As a neurodivergent therapist, I know that owning a human brain can be annoying at times, and that this struggle intensifies when your brain operates differently from those around you. I support people in better understanding themselves and building a life that works best for them. My approach is grounded in evidence based techniques, primarily Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
I use tools such as humor and mindfulness to help people navigate challenging situations. Though therapy is serious work, I find that occasional silliness can do a lot to help reframe the challenges we face. I love incorporating geeky media references and metaphors to help illustrate therapeutic concepts.
My approach is supportive, creative, and collaborative. I try to create a space where the people I work with feel seen and respected. I encourage people to take active steps toward a life they care about even when such steps seem daunting.
